Very active with a somewhat sweet, tangy smell. This starter began with a bit from Berkshire Bakery and has been going for 2 years. Fed with King Arthur's all-purpose flour.

The bagels have been boiled in water with sea salt and barley malt syrup and then baked.
The pretzels are yummy.
Used cinnamon and butter mixture for interior with confectioners sugar for icing.
These came out surprisingly well. Cooked on stovetop.
